This applies the national averages above to your number; 250 is only an example. Older clients plan more often than average, so your real count is likely lower. The review conversation is how you find out.

Why it fits

Estate planning gives every client a reason to talk.

Every family has a plan

A will, a trust, or the state's default rules. Asking which one they have opens a real conversation with clients you already serve.

Reviews keep you close

A change in assets, health or family means the plan needs a look. You become the person clients call when life changes.

Your services fit together

Medicare, retirement income and life insurance reviews sit naturally beside a plan, offered only when they serve the client.

How it works

From application to your first client.

  1. Apply

Two minutes. Tell us about your work and the clients you serve.

  2. Talk with Wynn

A call about your goals, your state and the right way for you to get started.

  3. Learn the process

Self-paced lessons, plus practice runs of the first client conversation.

  4. First clients, reviewed

Wynn reviews your first cases with you, from first meeting to signed plan.

  5. Keep growing

You'll know the training length, the costs and how you get set up before you commit to anything.

DraftTraining length, pricing and the licensing path are being confirmed with Wynn. This line stays until they are.

  8. 08

    Compliance

Legal-practice limits, best-interest rules, Medicare marketing and privacy.

  9. 09

    Your first three clients

Plan and run them with Wynn's review.

Practice with an AI client In development

Rehearse the first conversation with an AI that plays a realistic client, such as a widowed retiree with property in two states. You get scored feedback before you sit across from a real family.

Doing it right

Built to keep you and your clients on the right side of the line.

  • Clients answer their own interview

Family Estate Docs records the client's own answers. You help only with data entry the client authorizes.

  • No legal advice

Estate planning attorneys wrote the documents. You guide the process, not the legal choices.

  • Best interest, always

If you also sell insurance, product recommendations stay separate from the plan and must serve the client, under your state's annuity rules.

  • Medicare marketing rules

The course covers the disclaimers and limits that apply to Medicare agents.

  • Client privacy

Client records are never sold, rented or leased, and only the people working the case see them.

  • Compliance comes first

The compliance lesson is required before you work with clients.

Questions

What agents ask before they apply.

Do I need to be an attorney to help clients with a living trust?

You won't act as a lawyer. Estate planning attorneys wrote the Family Estate Docs questions and templates, clients answer the interview themselves, and agents don't give legal advice or choose documents for clients. Rules on legal services vary by state, so we review yours on the call, and you should confirm with your own counsel.

Do I need to be a licensed agent?

No. You do not have to be a licensed agent to sell Family Estate Docs software. A license matters only if you also offer insurance products, such as annuities or Medicare plans, which require the right license in your state.

How much does the training cost?

Wynn walks you through the training and software costs on your call, before you commit to anything.

How long does training take?

The lessons are self-paced, with live coaching from Wynn. You start with clients after the lessons, including the required compliance lesson, and Wynn reviews your first cases with you.

What is a revocable living trust?

A revocable living trust holds a person's property while they're alive, names who manages it if they can't, and passes it to their family without probate. The person can change it at any time. Only 13% of U.S. adults have one, according to a January 2025 Caring.com and YouGov survey.

What happens to clients who die without a will?

State law decides who inherits, based on how closely relatives are related, and the estate usually goes through probate court. A will or trust lets the client decide instead.

Can I help clients in any state?

Wynn works with families in all 50 states. Signing and funding rules differ by state, and the course shows you how to follow the rules where your client lives.

Do I have to sell annuities or other products?

No. Estate planning stands on its own. If you do recommend a product, it must be in the client's best interest under your state's rules, and it stays separate from the plan.

What is Family Estate Docs?

Family Estate Docs (FamilyEstateDocs.com) offers do-it-yourself estate planning document software, licensed from Estate Documents Pro, LLC. Attorneys wrote the legal documents, and the site states that its software is not a substitute for an attorney's advice. Wynn Collins is its Marketing Director.
